“Surreal In Nature” Series
This is an ongoing series that I started in 2015. As a freelance artist, I’ve spent many years creating illustrations and designs for a wide variety of clients. In 2013 an art gallery (Side Street Studio Arts) opened nearby my studio. They had an open call for art that I created a peice for and for the first time I was showing art in a gallery.
Growing up, I’ve always felt a strong connection with nature, as well as a healthy appetite for fantasy. The answer to the question “What do I want to paint?” became clear and started me down this strange journey into the surreal. I promised myself that once I completed 40 paintings I would host my own solo art show.
